BT’S HIGHLAND CONTACT CENTRE CYCLISTS RAISE CASH FOR HOSPICE
Half a dozen intrepid cyclists from BT’s two Highland contact centres in Thurso and Alness have raised more than £1000 for the Highland Hospice thanks to a gruelling, sponsored cycle ride between the centres.
The plucky team donned Lycra to cycle more than 73 miles between Bettyhill and Alness, having been forced to shorten the planned route between the centres by worsening weather.
Alness centre manager, Angela Murray, said: “It was an absolutely terrific team effort with everyone pulling together and helping everyone get through it. Our support staff also did a fantastic job making sure everyone was okay and I’d like to thank the management of the Shin Falls Restaurant for providing everyone with food and refreshments en route. Thanks also go to Harry Gow in Alness for donating 100 rolls for our fund-raising BBQ. Morrisons in Alness for donating a £25 gift card used towards our BBQ and Tiso Inverness for giving us bikes
The BT Business and Public Sector teams at Thurso and Alness provide support for businesses and public sector organisations working throughout the UK.
