More than 2000 homes and businesses in Ayr are now able to connect to high-speed fibre broadband thanks to the £428M Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband programme. The Digital Scotland team celebrated fibre availability in the South Ayrshire town this week as they visited a fibre street cabinet that will serve part of the town.

More than 160,000 homes and businesses in the Highlands and Islands are now part of the high speed fibre broadband network, thanks to the Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband (DSSB) roll-out.
