Tillicoultry’s going superfast thanks to Digital Scotland

​Thousands of homes and businesses in Tillicoultry are now able to connect to high-speed fibre broadband thanks to the £410m Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband programme. Councillor Bobby McGill, of Clackmannanshire Council, welcomed its arrival at a special launch event on the town’s High Street on Wednesday.

Nearly 580,000 households and businesses across Scotland now have access to their fastest-ever broadband speeds through the Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband rollout. Now smaller villages from Drumlithie in Aberdeenshire to Bonchester Bridge in the Scottish Borders are next in line for a fibre boost.

More than 122,000 households and businesses across the Highlands and Islands now have access to their fastest-ever broadband speeds through the Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband rollout. Other local communities are now set to follow, including John O’Groats in Caithness, Tankerness in Orkney and Castlebay in the Outer Hebrides.
